About the clinic

Where is Luxe Dental Clinic?

Luxe Dental Clinic is at No 3, 76A, Second Floor, Radha Mohan Street, Periyar Nagar, Velachery, Chennai 600042, near the Phoenix MarketCity parking exit gate. It is our only clinic. See the Velachery clinic page for the map and directions.

Do you have branches in Perungudi or Madurai?

No. Luxe Dental Clinic has one clinic, in Periyar Nagar, Velachery. Our former Perungudi and Madurai clinics are permanently closed, and patients from Perungudi and nearby areas are welcome at the Velachery clinic. Please call or WhatsApp +91 99977 97777, the only number we use. Older numbers shown on some websites are no longer in use.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and closed on Sunday. We are not a 24-hour clinic, but for an urgent problem after hours you can call +91 99977 97777. We will advise you and arrange the earliest possible appointment.

How do I book an appointment?

Call or WhatsApp +91 99977 97777, or use the form on our contact page. Tell us briefly what the problem is, so we can set aside enough time. For pain or swelling, call rather than message, so we can advise you straight away.

Who will treat me?

Your check-up and treatment plan are led by Dr. R. Sivaranjani, MDS (Periodontics), the founder of Luxe Dental Clinic, who has been practising since 2014. Her postgraduate degree is in periodontics (gums and the bone that hold the teeth), with advanced training in implant and aesthetic dentistry.

Is the first consultation free?

No. There is a consultation fee, and we tell you the amount when you book. At the first visit we examine your teeth and gums, explain what we find and, if you need treatment, give you a written estimate before anything starts.

How much will my treatment cost?

We do not publish a price list, because the cost depends on your teeth, the number of visits and the materials you choose. After your check-up you get a written estimate before treatment starts. We accept cash, UPI, and debit and credit cards. Ask us about payment options for larger treatments.

Check-ups and treatments

How often should I see the dentist?

Most people need a check-up and cleaning every 6 months. If you have gum disease or diabetes, every 3 to 4 months is usually better. Regular visits catch decay and gum problems early, when treatment is simpler. Read more about cleaning and check-ups.

Does root canal treatment hurt?

Root canal treatment is done under local anaesthesia, so most people feel pressure rather than pain, much like a filling. It usually takes 1 to 2 sittings, and back teeth then need a crown. Some tenderness for a few days afterwards is normal. Read more about root canal treatment.

How long do dental implants last?

With good cleaning, no smoking and regular check-ups, dental implants can last many years. The implant needs 3 to 6 months to bond with the bone before the final crown is fitted, and the crown may need replacing after some years. Read more about dental implants.

Braces or clear aligners: which is better?

It depends on your teeth and your routine. Clear aligners are nearly invisible and removable, but must be worn 20 to 22 hours a day. Braces are fixed and suit more complex bite problems; treatment usually takes 12 to 24 months. We check your bite and recommend what fits. Aligners are planned from an iTero digital scan, so there are no messy moulds. See braces and clear aligners.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Yes, when it is done or supervised by a dentist after checking your teeth and gums. Some people feel short-term sensitivity. Whitening does not change the colour of crowns or fillings, and results usually last 6 months to 2 years, depending on tea, coffee and smoking. Read more about teeth whitening.

My gums bleed when I brush. What should I do?

Bleeding gums are often the first sign of gum disease, which is usually painless until it is advanced. Book a gum check: we measure the gums, take X-rays if needed and explain the treatment, which is often a deep cleaning. Read more about gum treatment.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Bring your child when the first tooth appears or by the first birthday, whichever comes first. Early visits are short and gentle, and help us spot decay in milk teeth and habits such as thumb sucking. Read more about kids’ dental care.

Do wisdom teeth always need to come out?

No. A wisdom tooth that has come through fully and can be cleaned well can stay. Removal is advised when it causes pain, repeated infection, decay or damage to the next tooth. We take an OPG X-ray first. Read more about wisdom tooth removal.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us on +91 99977 97777, even after hours, for advice. For a knocked-out adult tooth, hold it by the crown, keep it in milk and come quickly. Go to a hospital emergency department if swelling spreads to the eye or neck, or if breathing or swallowing is difficult. See emergency dental care.

Can I have dental treatment during pregnancy?

Yes. Check-ups and cleaning are safe and important during pregnancy, because gums can become more sensitive. Tell us that you are pregnant. X-rays are avoided unless they are really needed, and the middle three months are often the most comfortable time for routine treatment.
